Vivekananda Yoga and Meditation Centre is located a specious hall at Library & Information Center in the VKIT campus, Mr. Lakshmikantha G C, Assistant professor of CSE department was the faculty incharge and he has arranged the events with the guidance of the Principal, VKIT and Yoga club members.A few minutes of Yoga during the day can be a great way to get rid of stress that accumulates daily in both the body and mind. Yoga postures, Pranayama and meditation are effective techniques to release stress. Meditation is Relaxation which gives calm mind, good concentration and Rejuvenation of the body and mind.The word yoga literally means “to yoke” or “union”. More than just a practice of physical exercises, Yoga is the coming together of the individual self or consciousness, with the infinite universal consciousness or spirit. 14th February 2018, our honorable president of Janatha Education Society Dr. Prof. Narayanareddy, Honorable Secretary Mr. Balagopal, Internal auditor JES and Incharge member of VKIT Mr. B P Muniraju and beloved Principal Dr. Giridhararedy are Inaugurated Vivekananda Yoga and Meditation Centre in the VKIT campus. All the HOD’s of various departments were present on the occasion.
